C3 Corvette Daily Drivers For Mac

Posted on by admin

I do daily drive a C4 Corvette, two of them, in fact! One is a 1990 ZR-1 in red and the other is a 1996 LT4 in black. They are very different animals.

I daily drive a C6 - but I couldn't do it if it was my only car. If 'daily driver' means it is your only vehicle, you better live in a very flat area (like you said) because it's impossible to drive any corvette through some parking lots and roads. I 'daily drive' mine by taking it from my garage to my office (parked in covered parking) and then to the gym.

When it rains heavily, I don't drive it much. When I'm going to places I've never been, I do recon or take my truck because who knows. You never know if you'll be able to actually get into a parking lot. I take it on road trips and to run errands sometimes - and drive around town a lot. But I really think you need two vehicles. Not scraping the front of a corvette on stuff is an art-form. I mean, you have to be really on point with your driving and the master of the 45-degree approach.

Anyone who hasn't scraped the front end of a vette either lives on the Utah salt flats or is lying. If you drive it, you will scrape it. So be prepared. The good thing is that you can't see the scrapes unless you look under the car.

One thing I will say is that your commute is gonna be fun as hell. It makes my commute like a video game. It's bad ass. C7 3LT, Z51 w/ Mag Ride / NPP Exhaust.

7Spd Manual here. Where I live (Toronto) I couldn't use it as my daily drive because of how shitty the traffic is here (the shifting in stop and go for hours gets to you). We have the worst highway in North America for traffic here, beats LA. But this is the same here for any manual car, not the C7. Anyways, if you're in an area with average traffic you should have no problem, the car is wonderful to drive, quiet when in Eco mode when you close the exhaust on the highway. I adjust the steering always to track for every mode so it's nice and tight. I find the other modes the steering makes the car a bit too sensitive and floaty.

I'll throw in my 2 cents. I live in Austin, have C7 Z51 manual. I use it as a daily driver, most of which is city driving. After an hour or so of stop and go traffic, the drive line shunt because of the hot clutch disc could almost snap your back.

Or i just really suck at clutch modulation, or both. Suspension is forgiving enough, steering is too, and brakes are obviously overkill, but the engine noise is so worth it. That said, I have had Corvettes as Daily Drivers for almost 10 years, and still love it to this day. Corvettes are funny machines, they have a personality and sense of humor, learn the quirks of yours and enjoy it.

2015 1lt Stingray has been our daily driver for about 1 year and 6500 miles. No issues at all and love the fit of the interior and still get compliments wherever we go. Optional digidesign software pro tools le 7 for mac.

It's easy to drive (I have the 8 speed auto) and maneuver around. Just watch out for steep driveways and tall curbs.

We don't notice as much issue with hitting curbs with the doors as much as we notice how long the doors are when opened, really have to give yourself room on both sides to not hit the car next to you. Ride is great in the Base car without the Mag Ride! It works well for groceries and minor shopping too since the hatch is surprisingly roomy! Buy it and enjoy!

Update video: Also, feel free to check out my Vett Vlog playlist where I share stuff relating the the C6 Corvette and more. Here is a short video of what its like to drive a C6 Corvette as a daily driver. There are are pros and cons, just like everything in life. If you have any questions or if I missed anything please feel free to post below and I will respond.
